About Michael

Photography is my principal hobby (I am an amateur photographer and will probably always remain one). The images posted will be primarily of landscapes, architecture, inanimate objects, animals/insects and plant life taken within five to ten miles of my home. This website is a simple collection of images that could be seen in the average American life, I am not an extraordinary photographer and I normally do not take photos of extraordinary subjects. Not that I am against extraordinary subjects, I just don't get to see them that often.

I am always trying to improve my skills, and I think it will be evident that I have a long way to go!
Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Also, post processing is not one of my strong points. My workflow is simple and quick, and as much as I wish it weren't the case, this lack of software expertise is probably evident in my images. For images posted to this site, I typically make small curves adjustments, crop, and convert from RAW using Digital Photo Professional. If necessary I run images through The Gimp for sharpening. That's about it. I can barely handle Paint.net and The Gimp, so upgrading to, and paying for, Photoshop is pretty much out of the question.
